Mariano Amato

Of Sicilian origin, but born in Rome, where he developed his complete particular artistic path.

After a long and important period of learning,, that he spent with the aim to master the techniques
of painting, he created his first paintings, just for the desire to make his emotions and experience
come true and to share them with a close and small circle of friends. He reached the contact with
the public at large thanks to his civic and political militancy and through several graphic works,
which represented the elegant setting for important Italian trade unions events.

Once the ice is broken, a large number of opportunities to face the aesthetic judgments of users
turned up. Since the '90s the artist's works appear in several public exhibitions: he is selected
for the exhibition “Art in Rome”, sponsored by the City of Rome - Superintendence of Cultural
Heritage, as part of events organized by the Municipal Gallery Modern and Contemporary Art. As
the critics write, "the painting of Mariano Amato originates from his daily life, from the objects
and suggestions of his existence" and this experience quite often takes the shape of object that the
artist has felt more like an inspiration . The “motorcycles” of Mariano Amato continue to visit
the contexts in which the enjoyment of art is combined with the pleasure of people to spend time
together.
Other events are organized such as the one in the 'Domus Area”, and in several premises in Rome
such as Nabel, Extra, Caffe Latino and many others.

In the artist's experience of particular importance is also the cooperation with the Museum of Paris
in Rome (for which he also created the logo) and with the 'Athena Parthennos Association, and
a presence at the “Festival of Two Worlds” in Spoleto. This latest experience seals the ability of
Mariano Amato to tread even sophisticated and exclusive venues, which his intense and strong
works suit perfectly.
He takes part in the exhibition "Moto-Guzzi The Italian Dream", dedicated to the famous Italian
manufacturer and held in the “Vittoriano” museum in Rome.
The artist, roman but with numerous incursions in the Campania area, particularly in Ischia,
realized precisely in this volcanic island, a series of exhibitions. In Ischia in fact he spent long
periods during which , like the bee on the flower, he has sucked the nectar and the life force
injecting them into the colors of his works. Ischia can be considered his second home, the place
which gave rise to his "volcanoes."
